Luis Alegre of El Paso, Texas passed away on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the age of 79. After several weeks of declining health, Luis peacefully went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. At his side was his sister Martha & brother Armando and his beloved wife of 62 years Josefina along with their five children.
Luis was born in El Paso on January 13, 1942 to his father, Francisco Alegre Sr and his mother, Ester Alegre. Luis was preceded by his brother Francisco Alegre Jr, but is survived by his sister Martha A. Lopez (Manny Lopez) and brother Armando Alegre Sr. (Martha R. Alegre).
Luis is survived by his wife Josefina and five children: Rufino, Joe (Martha), Linda (Emilio), Christina (Jerry) and Michael along with 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life service for Luis will be held on Saturday June 26, 2021 at Del Angel Evergreen East Funeral Home,12400 Montana Ave 79938. Doors open at 10:00 am and Service will start at 11:30 am.
A private Celebration of Life gathering will be held after the service at Rufino’s starting at 3pm. Further information will be provided in person.
