Preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Ana Maria; parents Isidoro, Maria; siblings Ana, Emma, Carmen, Teresa, Mary, Manuel, Alicia, Ricardo, Rodolfo.
He was a graduate of Cathedral High School and later in life obtained an Associate’s Degree from El Paso Community College.
Dad was a US Army veteran and proud member of the El Paso Police Department, where he served for 31 years and retired with the rank of Captain. He retired again as Head of Security from the Federal Reserve Bank, El Paso Branch, 12 years later.
Dad loved the game of golf and was an avid player. He played faithfully up until his health problems overcame him.
He is survived by his sister Cecilia; sons, spouses and future spouses: Luis Jr., Michael, Robert, David, Audrey, Jaime, Oscar, Sarah; beloved grandchildren: Luis III, Andrew, Abigail, Alex, Ashley, Liv; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and on and on.
Visitation for Luis will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 4805 Byron St, El Paso, TX 79930, followed by a committal service at 11:00 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to Cathedral High School, and to provide your love and support for current and retired EPPD officers. Luis and Ana are now together for eternity.
