We announce with a heavy heart the passing of our father, Luis Alfonso Estrada, who left us on the morning of November 12, 2025. While our hearts ache, they are also filled with deep appreciation for the time we shared and the love he gave so generously.
Luis was born in El Paso, Texas, where he spent his early years alongside his beloved sisters. From there, he joined the service out of Fort Bliss and served as a proud Korean War veteran, a chapter of his life he held with great honor. After his service, he eventually made his way to Los Angeles, where he lived half of his life before returning to his hometown of El Paso, where he passed.
Luis was a man of many passions. He enjoyed diving, had a love for wrestling, found joy in singing, and was a very proud Christian whose faith was a cornerstone of his life.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Maria H. Garibay and Martha F. Estrada, and by his children, his eldest son Steven Estrada, his son Adrian Estrada, his daughters Claudia Estrada, and Laura Estrada. We will forever cherish his memory and carry forward his spirit of kindness, faith, and strength.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3883 Montana Ave. El Paso, Texas 79903. Following the service, Luis will be laid to rest at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Blvd.
