Luis Segovia,Sr.

On Saturday, June 29, 2013, Luis Segovia Sr passed away peacefully in his sleep, among loved ones. Born in Durango, Mexico he came to El Paso, TX between 8 and 12 years old, where he worked various jobs, including 30 years at Phelps Dodge Refining. He was 97 years old. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Susanna Segovia, his sister, Queta Reade, and his granddaughter, Cindy Jimenez. He is survived by his four children, Luis JR (Elfi), Yolanda (David), Isela (Mando), Bobby (Pat), and 11 grandchildren, Vera, Luis III, Vincent, Thelma, Fernando, Frank, Rudy, Marissa, Erica, Jessica and Joe, along with several great-grandchildren,and the rest of his family and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. A. Gonzalez, Dr. Vogelwede, and the wonderful and caring staff of Sierra Medical Center & The Hospice of El Paso. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 9pm on Wednesday, July 3rd, at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Services will be at 11am on Friday, July 5th at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

He is not lost, our dearest love,
