

Menny was born on July 2, 1934, to Eulogia and Jesus Garcia, in Torreon, Coahuila.
Menny was a spiritual man who's life he dedicated to providing for his family.
Menny chose the life of a musician at the age of sixteen, forming his band "La Orquesta de Menny Garcia" in Cd. Juarez, and later retiring from the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez as the music department's music professor, band leader and coordinator of special events. He is recognized by the UACJ as the author of the Himno Universitario and Marcha Universtaria, both considered University symbols for ever. He co-authored a book, "Bailando Con La Historia". Most of his life he also worked with youth by giving free music lessons and sponsoring youth sports for underprivileged kids in Juarez.
Menny is survived by his wife, Sara Garcia, his children Gabriela Garcia and Gonzalo Garcia, his daughter-in-law Marissa Garcia and three granddaughters Aritzel, Alessandra and Arianna Garcia. He is also survived by his siblings Marcelino Garcia, Raul Morales, Juventino Morales and Blanca Luz Correa. His legacy will carry on through his family who loves him dearly and feels blessed to have had him in their lives.
Services will be held on Thursday March 21, 2013, at Martin Funeral Home 3839 Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas, 79904 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 pm vigil. Religious services will be on Friday March 22, 2013, at St. Pius Catholic Church 1050 N Clark Dr, El Paso, Texas, 79915, at 11:00 a.m., with burial following at Restlawn Cemetery
