Margarita was retired from both the county and the city of El Paso She was preceded in death by her parents Juan and Eugenia Ortega, brother Francisco X Ortega, sister Elena Causey, Maria Valdez, Bernarda Chavez and Evangelina Guerra. She is survived by her brother Hector and wife Lydia Ortega, sister Martha Lagunas, sister-in-law Christina Ortega and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 15th from 5:00 to 9:00pm with vigil at 7:00pm at Martin Funeral Home Central. Funeral mass will be Friday, June 16th at 12:30pm at St Pius X Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
