With many mournful hearts we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Teresa Alarcon, at the age of 74, on February 22, 2025 passed peacefully, comforted and surrounded by her loved ones.
Teresa Alarcon, known more familiarly by family as Mima, was born on October 15, 1950 to Guadalupe Fernandez Gonzalez and Jose Luis Gonzalez. She was the oldest of eight children. Married to Rafael Alarcon. Mother to Itza Alarcon-Vargas, Rubi McCain, and Raphael Alarcon. Grandmother to Victoria Jackson, Joy and Hope McCain, Jeremiah, Isabella, Elizabeth, and Rafael Alarcon.
After completing a Bachelors and Master of Science in Nursing, she went on to work as a nurse practitioner where she devoted many years to serving and helping others. Teresa also obtained her master’s in theology due to her passion and love for the Lord.
Teresa left a legacy of her loving and protective nature, her strength, her fierceness, her generosity, and her love for everything bright in color. She held a deep passion for singing, gardening, traveling, working, and spending time with her family. She was deeply treasured by those who surrounded her and had the privilege of working with her. Teresa’s absence on this earth will be deeply felt by those who she is survived by and her memory will forever be in our hearts.
She was predeceased by her mother Guadalupe Fernandez Gonzalez and is survived by her brothers Oscar, Jose Luis, Javier and Jaime Gonzalez and sisters Laura Esparza, Rebecca Moreno, and Raquel Gonzalez.
