Maria Carmen Jamrowski Almanzan was born on July 16, 1953. She went to sleep in death on May 9, 2026. Maria was a devoted and loving wife of Charles Almanzan for 53 years. She is also survived by her brothers, John Jamrowski (Mary) and James Jamrowski; sister Janet Jamrowski Flores (Javier); brother-in-law Gene Almanzan (Teresa), sisters-in-law Gloria Armendariz and Virginia Rittel (Frank). And many nephews and nieces.
Maria’s main goal in life was her relationship with her Creator, Jehovah God. She dedicated herself to him in water baptism on April 19, 1969 and remained a faithful and devoted servant to the Messianic Kingdom of Jesus Christ up to the day of her falling asleep in death. She did not pass away, in the sense of passing away to another world or to heaven itself, but rather, she fell asleep in death awaiting for the promised made by Jesus to be fulfilled. (Luke 23:43) That promise is a resurrection to a new world of a paradise earth where mankind was created to inhabit everlastingly. (Rev. 21:3, 4) This was part of her religious upbringing by her mother, Lilia Sanchez Jamrowski, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Maria’s strong convictions were entirely based on accurate Bible teachings. (1 Tim 2:4) Because of her strong relationship with her God she was set free from any fear of death, (Heb. 2:15) even after having been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer she did not fear death. She shared with her husband, Charles, the only fear that encapsulating her mind. It was not of dying for she didn’t fear death, but rather, of wanting to remain alive to walk hand-in-hand together with Charles into God’s promised new world. That new world is a combination of the new heavens and the new earth. It will be a new arrangement, including both the heavenly Kingdom government and mankind serving Jehovah God on a paradise earth. (Eph. 1:10) She shared this belief with countless others during her 57 years of dedicated service to her God, Jehovah. Twelve of those years were in full time service of sharing the Kingdom message door-to-door and conducting home Bible studies. (2 Tim. 4:2) She continued sharing her faith up to the last days of her life.
First and utmost, Maria was a faithful and devoted servant of Jehovah God. (Joshua 24:14, 15) Secondly, she was a loving and supportive wife. (Eph. 5:22, 33; Prov. 31) And third, to all who knew her, she was a true and faithful friend who added to everyone’s joy, constant in her loyalty and friendliness. (Proverbs 17:17)
Thus, we cling to all the wonderful memories of her, knowing that she is in God’s memory awaiting to be brought back to us here on a paradise earth. (John 5:28)
