Maria Elena Gandara

Maria Elena Gandara left to be with the Lord on December 6, 2022, in El Paso, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro, and her daughter, Graciela. Maria Elena was the loving daughter of Francisco and Marcela Zubiate, and she had three siblings, Vincente, “Paco”, and Elvia. She is survived by her son, Pete, and her three daughters, Martha, Sylvia, and Cindy. She was a grandmother and a great-grandmother.

Maria Elena was born on June 30, 1920 in Cd. Juarez, Chih, Mexico. She became a U.S. Citizen in the year 2000. She attended San Ignacio School in El Paso, TX. Maria Elena worked as a stenographer with the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Cd. Juarez.

She developed a loving friendship with her knitting group of more than 30 years. They all called her “Nenita”.

A Scripture Service will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79903.
