She found such joy in seeing the smiling faces and expressions of everyone that was honored to receive her gifts. she had a gift for giving.
Mary also enjoyed planning and preparing the wonderful menus for our memorable Christmas Eve celebrations along with the themes for certain years. She would start planning her unique menu several months in advance scouring through various cookbooks looking to plan the perfect meal for the family to go along with the perfect decorated 8ft. Christmas tree and perfect home decorations. Her purpose in these family gatherings was to bring the families together, creating warmth and joy around the tables. Her special chicken, mushroom, and rice recipe has been adopted by the families as a traditional part of our Christmas meals.
Her talent reflected her generous spirit and the deep love she shared with those around her. We will treasure all the paintings, quilts, quilted hangings, and will tuck in our hearts the wonderful times of much laughter, heartfelt advice, the lengthy table conversations, the lessons, and the most amazing memories we shared with her.
