Maribel Padilla was born to Alberto and Maria Martinez in EL Paso, TX on September 10, 1981, as on behalf of the Padilla twins (Maribel and Alberto). She was born into a large, loving family from both EL Paso and Ciudad Juarez. Maribel grew up on the east side of El Paso, attending Eastwood knolls Elementary and extremely proud of graduating from Eastwood High School. She went on to El Paso community College and worked hard to achieve her dream of graduating from University of Texas El Paso, Class of 2008.
She worked in different fields throughout her youth and was blessed to have found her passion working for the Department of Defense (Army) as a Human Resources Specialist.
Her leadership skills and strong work ethic earned her the respect of her colleagues and the organization as a whole. Her dedication and commitment towards her profession is exemplary and she leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered.
Maribel was very skilled at having everything in its place and as clean as possible. Her skills at arts and crafts, wrapping gifts, and reading books by the dozens are worth a special mention as she deeply enjoyed these hobbies with great amusement and committed to them with an even greater love.
In marriage, Maribel was a devoted wife to Anthony and a very loving mother to Olivia. Her daughter Olivia was and will forever be known as the greatest blessing she received from Heaven. Maribel loved reading books to Olivia and hoped to have installed that same love of reading and learning to her daughter. Another great love of Maribel's were her dogs. She loved all her dogs yet had a special bond with her Wags.
Maribel also leaves behind her cousin crew that loved and adored back. This tribe of cousins will forever have beautiful memories of sharing a life with Maribel that came with so much joy, happiness, and laughter (with a tiny bit of trouble for spice).
Above and most important of all, Maribel had built and maintained a special relationship with God. She prayed her rosary, read the bible, and gave thanks for her blessings. Maribel had a tremendous amount of faith, and her parents and brothers are at peace knowing her physical pain is gone and she is forever in the arms of the Lord Almighty.
Maribel is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Mercedes Padilla and is survived by her twin brother Alberto Padilla, her little brother Miguel Angel Martinez, her parents, Alberto and Maria Martinez, her daughter, Olivia Veach, and her husband, Anthony Veach.
Maribel's beautiful legacy as a dedicated and beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, colleague, sister-in law, friend, shopping partner, tea-drinker, book reader, dog loving, sweet, kind soul with an unforgettable smile will be remembered and treasured by all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 E. Montana Avenue, with a prayer service at 1:00 PM in the Angel Chapel of Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East followed by 2:00 PM burial at Evergreen East Cemetery.
