Mathilda F. (Redgie) Medlock

Mathilda R. (Redgie) Medlock, 90, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2014, preceded in death by her husband Wilmer Gerald Medlock of 57 years. She is survived by her sons, Gerald (Diane) Medlock of Independence Oregon, Darrell (Dolores) Medlock of Santa Teresa New Mexico, Bruce (Terry) Medlock of Olympia Washington, and Raymond (Linda) Medlock of El Paso Texas. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, and one sister-in-law. She has 13 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Pall bearers are sons, Gerald, Darrell, Bruce, and Raymond Medlock, and grandsons, Christopher and Duncan Medlock. Rosary will be from 6 to 7 pm and visitation will be from 7 to 9 pm on October 2, 2014 at Martin Funeral Home located at 3839 Montana. Grave side services will be conducted at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery on October 3, 2014 at 10:30 am. Mrs. Medlock was an active member of Our Lady of Assumption Church, and worked diligently with the Memorial Park Senior Citizens Center teaching arts and crafts, specifically making custom jewelry. She was also an active member of El Paso Gem and Mineral Society and a pillar of her listed memberships. Redgie will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of El Paso.
