May your spirit find peace with Tio Juan, Tio Oscar, Tio Nacho, Joshua and all the other family and friends who were taken too soon.  

We’re so thankful for the time we had with you and Mom in Sedona, AZ. It was truly unforgettable for all of us. You smiled with a joy we had never seen before. You found solace in nature and the refreshing crisp air of the Grand Canyon. We will never forget our trip on the Verde Canyon Railroad with you and Mom. Steve enjoyed “rock crawling” with you guys on a detour in his truck—definitely an E-ticket ride. We were all scared but not Steve!! Steve claimed it was a state highway.  NOT!

The vibrant flowers, trees, hills, red rocks in Sedona were breathtaking and you expressed your desire to take all the beautiful flowers with you. You were captivated by Mother Nature’s beauty, absorbing it all and sharing cherished memories of your childhood. You mentioned during the hard times, the outdoors and natural beauty provided you with comfort during challenging moments.

Your granddaughter, Dominique, still cherishes the memories of the music and dancing from your visit with us in Houston, TX. It was such a joy to see you sing and dance, and your playful spirit had us all on the floor, laughing with you. Dancing, singing, and cooking tamales were all such fun experiences. As I write this, I can’t help but smile and laugh about all the special moments we shared with you.  

Your passion for music was unwavering. You’d say, “Music is life”, and we wholeheartedly agreed! Music is what creates memories and special moments like all the ones we shared with you.  Continue to dance Melvon!  Dance with all your might!

David’s passionate dance highlights how we are called to worship God wholeheartedly. In heaven, we too will express ourselves freely, honoring Him with every joyful move as we gather in unity.

Melvin,

You will always be remembered for your kindness, your warm heart, and the incredible barbecues that brought everyone together. I will always smile when I think about you and my husband, Juan, playfully calling each other “dog” and “cat.” The two of you shared such a special friendship, and your laughter brought joy to everyone around you.

You will be deeply missed. Today, I find comfort in believing that you and Juan are together again. Melvin, please give him a big hug from me. I know the two of you are already laughing, joking, and enjoying each other’s company once more.

Rest in peace, dear friend. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Melvon… had the time of his life on this historical train ride.  We had VIP seats.  Nothing but the best!  Blessed to have had such a beautiful  journey with Melvon.

This is actually a steep trail and Mom needed a little help.
