Michael Edward Lennon, a native of Arizona, passed away at the age of 65 in El Paso, Texas, where he had lived since 1997. Born on March 27, 1959, he departed this life on December 30, 2024. He was deeply loved and cherished by many.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Soraya, and his adult children: Michelle, Amanda, Mary, Sasha, and Abraham. He also leaves behind his stepfather, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. In addition, he will be missed by countless friends, loyal clients, and his adored pets—Sofia, Tinkerbell, and Pickles.
Throughout his life, Michael had a passion for serving others. He worked as a chef at the University of Arizona student union and for the UA Astronomy Camp on Mount Lemmon in Tucson, Arizona. Later, he founded his own business in El Paso. Called Lennon Aquarium Maintenance, where he cared for many aquariums and earned the trust and admiration of his clients.
Michael is now at peace and reunited with his mother, Mary Fortner, who passed away in September 2023.
The Lennon family will greet family and friends on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue, with a Celebration of his life beginning at 11:00 am. This is not goodbye forever, but a "see you later" until we meet again.
