Nieves Canales, age 92, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was a longtime resident of San Juan, TX and El Paso, TX where he lived most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Nieves retired as a Pharmacist after many years of service to the El Paso community. He is survived by his loving and only son Roy Canales; and daughter-in-law Rebeca Canales; his grandsons Roger, Cesar Roy and Angel Nieves Canales and granddaughter Veronica Amor, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Nieves will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel, 3839 Montana Ave. Graveside service will be Thursday, March 30th at 9:30am in Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
