Oscar served in the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant of the Field Artillery Branch in The United States Army and retired from El Paso Water Utilities. He was “The Rock of the family and A true warrior”. A very giving person, especially with his family. He left behind his legacy with dignity and morals. He loved boxing, horse and dog racing, football and gambling. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, because of his uniqueness.
Oscar was born to Elvira and Isaac Chacon, whom preceded him in death, also by his son, Oscar (Chappy), his siblings, Alberto, Raul and Carmen.
Oscar is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria, daughters: Olga, Sandra (Henry), Debbie (Danny), sister, Yolanda, grandchildren, Monica, Oscar (Trae), Clarissa, Chris, Nicholas, Danika and D.J. He had ten Great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass for Oscar will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Sisters of Perpetual Adoration Chapel, 145 N Cotton St., El Paso, Texas 79901. Committal service to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson, El Paso, Texas 79906.
