

Paul Negrete passed away on November, 14, 2011. He was born in Columbia, Missouri on April 2, 1958, grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to El Paso when he was ten years old. A graduate of Coronado High School, he worked at Albertson’s of El Paso for 29 years. Paul was preceded in death by his devoted father, Dr. Dionisio Negrete. Paul is survived by his mother, Luisa Hovel, step-mother Ellen Negrete, his Fiancé Maria Licon, sons Manny Nuñez, Angel Rodriguez, and Gabriel Rodriguez, his daughter Vanessa Vasquez, daughter of Irene Negrete and granddaughter Irene Chavez, brothers Mark Negrete & Joseph Negrete, sister Teresa Charter BSN, nephews Daniel and his wife Hila Charter & daughter, Aravah, Joey Charter and Fabiola Dueñes, his son, Benjamin, Nick Peters, Jonathan Peters and niece Denise Peters, sister Dr. Margaret Negrete Stein and Scott Stein DDS, nieces Alex Stein and Daryl Stein & sister Nichole Negrete Pate. Paul loved music, played guitar and trumpet, completed many solo pilot flights, studied nature, enjoyed the classic television humor of Dick Van Dyke, Bill Cosby, the Marx brothers and Jerry Lewis. Every Sunday he would cheer for his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed long distance riding on his bike, throughout El Paso, the city he loved. Paul was a devoted son, who loved being with family and celebrating. He would always make us laugh with a funny face or a witty joke. He was known for his huge heart and he never hesitated to help or share his knowledge. Paul always strived to accomplish new things. Most recently, he had been studying Nursing at El Paso Community College. Paul stepped up and answered the challenges of life with a big bear hug and a warm gentle smile. We love you and will miss you forever, our beautiful son, brother, husband, father grandfather and friend. Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home Central ,3839 Montana Ave. with the Vigil at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at All Saints Episcopal Church. Interment at Restlawn Cemetery.
