Paul Saucedo, 82, entered Eternal Life to be with our dear Lord and Savior on May 14, 2026. Paul was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Paul obtained his degree of Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at the University of Texas at El Paso and devoted his life to “Serve and Protect” others. Paul was a dedicated U.S. Marine, firefighter for the El Paso Fire Department, and retired with the El Paso Police department as a Lieutenant with the homicide division under Crimes Against Persons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon Saucedo and Agapita Guzman Saucedo and his brothers Julian Saucedo, Tony Saucedo, and Johnny Saucedo.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Irene Perez-Saucedo of 37 years who was his best friend, and devoted caregiver. He is also survived by sisters Margaret Saucedo Blake (Jerry), Lupe Saucedo Aragon (Tony) and daughters Lisa Saucedo, Lori McClure, Lynn Curley (Ed), Marissa Rodarte (Bobby) and Rebecca Ortega. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grand-children and nephew and nieces.
Paul reminisced often of times spent with his nephew Adrian Perez whom he referred to as his son. They enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and sharing life stories. Paul’s greatest joys were Adrian’s and his wife Eunice’s children Noah, Luke, Natasha and Levi who brought life into his home and heart. Paul’s life was filled with so much love, laughter and dancing when his sister-in-law’s Cissy, Sylvia and Dolores would visit. Their frequent visits had such a positive impact on his life, with him always wanting to know when the next visit would be. The immense love you gave, was certainly carried with him during his final hours.
Special recognition goes out to Hospice of El Paso, the only nonprofit hospice in our community which employs the most beautiful, caring and compassionate individuals.
