Born on November 28,1982, in Belleville, NJ, to Irma Rivera and John Lupia, he dubbed himself “Pizzarican” or of Italian-Puerto Rican descent. He was the fifth of a wolf pack of six brothers and sisters; Irma, Johnny, Mary, Michael, Peter & Sivine. All of whom shared incredible stories and adventures with him.
As a young teenager who was too smart for his own good, Peter went off and enlisted in the military where he had a successful career as an Army Medic. He loved protocols and correcting issues. In his own words, “I joined the military to serve my country and to help improve quality of life within the military. I enjoy learning new things; fixing cars, electronics and carpentry.”
He was honorably discharged in November of 2016. As an Army veteran, he pursued furthering his education and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Administration from Southwest University, in El Paso, TX.
Peter was an honorable soldier, hardworking, talented employee, but first and foremost, he was a family man. He made every sacrifice for his family and showered them with love until his last breath. He is survived by his three children; Zach, the oldest and most talented artist in the family; Mia, the puzzlemaster and lover of animals; and Nicholas, the youngest child and sweetest boy on earth.
On December 28, 2017, Peter met Laura, and the rest is history. Peter once said, “Laura es mi corazon,” little did he know, she had surrendered hers to him unconditionally. They were married exactly two years later, on December 28, 2019 and had a wonderful, silly life full of dogs, laughs, and good food.
“But no one can live forever
Except those who possess the heart of a star
And she had given hers to him completely
And they will live happily ever after.”
Peter now joins the ranks of heaven, along with his baby nephew, Demetrius and Dante, who was the bestest good boy. The three of them are now made whole and are enjoying paradise together.
