

Our beloved "Pop" Oscar Madrid Sr., an El Paso native, died on Wednesday October 24, 2012, at his home in El Paso. He retired from Sears & Roebuck after 35 years of faithful service. Pop served 8 years in the US Army and served in the Korean War. Awaiting him in Heaven, with open arms, are his parents Juan and Catalina Madrid, his loving wife of 40 years Manuela, his sister Martha, son Ricardo and many other loved ones.
He is survived by his children Robert and his wife Irene, Patricia and her husband Jorge, Priscilla and her husband Robert, Oscar and his partner Gregory, Alberto, his daughter in law Marissa and her husband Giovanni. Also left to live his beautiful legacy are his beloved grandchildren Curtis, Christian, Carl, Helen, Brisella, Daniel, Richard, Guero, Jacob, Isabel, Paul, Victoria, Leilani, Michael and his new great-grandson, Tristan. He is also survived by his brothers Alfredo, Ruben, Juan, Armando and Reynaldo, his sisters Olga and Emma, his beloved sisters-in-law, his loving companion Mary, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave. with the Vigil at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 9:45 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery
