Ramona was a loving mother to four children, and her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed. Born on March 31, 1944, in Chamberino, New Mexico, to Encarnacion and Gregoria Valtierra,
Ramona grew up surrounded by her brothers and sisters. She attended Gadsden High School in Anthony, New Mexico, before going off to college and joining the Navy. Ramona was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and wife. She took special joy in the cherished family tradition of tamale-making during Christmas. Each holiday season, the aroma of steaming corn husks filled the air, mingling with the sounds of holiday music and laughter from her children. It was in these precious moments that Ramona shared her love, stories, and wisdom, creating lasting memories that her children would carry forever.
Ramona is survived by her husband, Efren, daughter Rebecca, sons Efren Jr., Jaime, and David Dominguez; as well as her extended family. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Jaime Jr., Lorenzo, Miguel, Natalia, Fatima, Cecilia, Sarai, Adriel, Adeline and Brisa, who will never forget the love she brought into their lives.
