Born in El Paso to Jose Mena and Eva Romero, Ray grew up in a close-knit family alongside his siblings Joann Lopez, Terry Reyes, Joe Mena, Martha Mena, and Paul Mena.
Ray dedicated his career to serving his community as a Master Electrician at the El Paso International Airport, where his hard work and skill left a lasting impact.
Above all, Ray was a family man. He was the proud father of two sons, Matthew Ray Mena and Joshua Ray Mena, and a caring uncle to his nephews and niece. His greatest joy came from supporting and spending time with them.
Ray had a quiet strength—reserved and stoic, yet warm and deeply supportive. He enjoyed watching horse races and cheering on the Commanders, hobbies that brought him simple joy throughout his life.
He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his dedication to his family, and his steady presence.
