Raymond Chavez, 65, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, surrounded by family. Raymond was a lifelong resident of El Paso and a graduate of Austin High School. He entered the workforce at a young age and continued working until his retirement from Walmart. Raymond was known for his generosity and helping others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernarda and Ramiro Chavez and brothers, Jose and Manuel Chavez. Raymond is survived by his children, Raymond Jr. and Celeste Ramirez (Jorge); mother of his children, Norma Chavez and grandchildren, Jorge Israel and Ariella Luna Ramirez. He is also survived by his brothers, Ramiro Jr. (Norma), Robert (Skyda), Conrad (Marisol), and Alvaro (Sylvia); sisters, Maria Dolores (Martha) and Margarita (Keith); numerous nieces and nephews. “Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.” Memorial visitation will be on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 12 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East. Rite of Committal will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East.
