Raymundo (Ray) Macias born November 15, 1947 in El Paso, Texas to Pasqual and Elvira Macias (deceased). Ray passed away September 14, 2021 at home surrounded by family after battling a long illness.
He was preceded in death by son Johnathan Lee Macias and brothers Richard and Robert Macias. He is survived by his wife of fifty years Marilynn Macias and daughter Ranee Macias and son Christopher Macias and wife Veronica. Ray had five grandchildren Daniel Terrazas and his wife Rose, Abigail Segovia and her husband Ben, Aaron Macias, Caleb Macias, and Daina Macias. He had one great granddaughter August Segovia. Sister Irene Silva and husband Hector, brother Armando Macias and wife Mary, Sister Enoma Pacheco and husband Armando. Also many loving nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews on both sides of our family that helped and cared for him in his final days.
Ray loved hunting, target shooting and reloading his own ammo. He was an avid football watcher. He was a loyal Cowboys fan win or lose. Ray was easy going with a wonderful sense of humor even through his illness. He helped to care for my father in his final days while living with us until his death. A special thanks to my daughter Ranee who helped and supported me. My grandsons Aaron and Caleb who helped me care for grandpa. Without them I could not have kept him home with us. My son Chris stationed in Korea who called everyday to lend moral support and check on dad.
Also thanks to Encompass Hospice for their special care and attention, they lessened our burden ten-fold, God Bless them all. In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital can be made.
