To the family of Richard Maruffo, I just learned about the sad news, and it breaks my heart to have read  it on Facebook. Becky and the boys, our deepest condolences and prayers for you all. May you find peace and comfort at this time. My memories of such a great man who was a coach to my son in baseball. The parties we would see you and Richard  at will be our greatest gift of memories.  Words are very difficult to express and say to you, my dear friend, 
Becky,  please know  that I’m here for anything you need, just ask. 
I wish I would have known of the services until I read them today.

My condolences to Richard’s family.  Richard was a wonderful neighborhood friend when we were children during our elementary and middle school days. 
I was saddened by his loss. May he rest in peace.

I taught with Richard for 5 years at Zavala Jr. High in Pecos, Texas.  He was an excellent teacher and a great friend.  We had lots of great times in Pecos and later on in El Paso after we moved here in 1985. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing.  He will be greatly missed.  Becky, Richie and Dany may deepest condolences.  Thank you for your friendship.  May he rest in peace.

I taught at Andress High School with Richard for 21 years. He was a good teacher, a good guy and a good family man. He often told me stories of  him and his boys going to Major League Baseball Spring Training games in Arizona over Spring Break.  I always enjoyed our conversations between classes or before school. I was truly saddened when I was told he had died.

I met Richard, when we were playing baseball in  city Summer leagues  while playing  for Arturo Bejarano, Sr.  and Mr. Nava.  We  had of  great players some went Jeff, others went to Burges we had from Austin.  But we a had great time. If I remember correctly, sorry but I’m having some health issues and memory or lack there of is my main one.  The name I’m sorry  can’t remember I hope I’m right on this SouthEast Optimist Club. We players from Burges : Rene, Corky, Arturo  B. Jr.,  Tony,   Coaches Arturo Bejarano Sr, and Mr. Nava, we had 1 guy from Austin unfortunately I can’t remover his name. From Jeff we  had Bobby  Puentes, Richard  Marrufo (RIP)myself and of course many  others I just can’t remember all  the  names. We went 17-1.  The first nine games were considered like exhibition  or  non- district games we were 8-1 then went 9-0 in the games That matter to to win the Championship for Pony League. Becky, Danny and Richie, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Richard.  He is at peace now and no longer suffering.  He will be missed but leaves us with wonderful memories to remember him by.  He was always cheerful and had a smile that would brightened the room.  I fondly remember our "Dynasty Club" gatherings when we all lived in Pecos, Texas. Those were such great times.
