

Born January 1, 1960 to Dee & Dick Hunsicker in Lansdale, PA, Robby moved to El Paso when he was 10 months old. He attended Highland School. He participated in Special Olympics, winning Gold & Silver in swimming and ball throwing. He joined the staff of the YWCA in 1988, worked 24 years at the “Y” on Brown, most recently in the Consumer Credit Counseling department.
He traveled widely with his mother. A lover of animals, Robby fed a giraffe in Kenya, rode a camel in Egypt, saw snakes in the Amazon River, fed a kangaroo and petted a Koala Bear in Australia. And, he loved to ride the double-decker in London.
He was very fond of the horse races and playing Roulette in Ruidoso. He loved sports of all kinds, and was very knowledgeable about and a fan of local and national sports teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys and UTEP Miners.
Robby was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles & Lillian McBride, W. O. & Verdelia Hunsicker, his father C. R. “Dick” Hunsicker, uncles and aunts Charles & Shirley McBride, Jack and Dot Hunsicker and cousin Brynn Hunsicker.
Robby is survived by his mother Dee Hunsicker, brother Rick (and Roxanne) Hunsicker, Terry (and Rick) Madden, aunt Marty Hunsicker, nephews Brooks (and Jenny) Madden and Chas Hunsicker, nieces Chalee Mercedes Madden & Hillary Hunsicker, cousins David, Douglas & Willie Hunsicker, Scott & Peggy Becker, and Cynthia, Melanie & Chuck McBride and great nephews and nieces Caden McBride Hunsicker & Kalie Marie Madden, step nephews and niece Joshua, Jordan & Sarah Davenport, and many El Paso, US and international travel friends.
The funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (2709 Alabama Ave.) at 11AM on Thursday June 7th. There will be a private family burial. In lieu of flowers you can make contributions to YWCA of El Paso, Rescue Mission of El Paso or El Paso County Historical Society. Special thanks to Dr. Branch Craige.
