He attended St. Joseph Catholic and Coldwell Elementary Schools. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in May 1969. He then went on to graduate from the University of Texas-El Paso with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Biology. Bob was a much adored teacher for over 35 years, notably at Hanks High School.
He is survived by his brother John (Carole) and children, Jessica and Ray.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Avenue. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm at Restlawn Memorial Park, 4848 Alps Drive.
