Rodolfo “Mr. Rudy” Guerra passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016, surrounded by family. He was born in El Paso, Texas on June 21, 1938 to Agapito and Elisa Guerra. Mr. Rudy proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He retired from William Beaumont Army Medical Center as a Computer System Administrator. He was the League President of the Original Roaring 20’s Softball League. He was inducted into the El Paso Softball “Hall of Fame” in 1986. He was a devoted member of the Fox Plaza Softball team and served on the Parks and Recreation board for the City of El Paso. He is reunited in Heaven, with his beautiful daughter, Monica Marie and his brother, Joe. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Olga Guerra and three children Eddie (Lizzie), Paul (Ann) and Marisela (Danny), to include grandchildren Samantha, Thomas, Monica, Paul, Joseph, Jake, Nathan and Silver. He is also survived by his sister, Alicia Ruiz and half-siblings, Xavier, Ruben, Lupe, and Andy. He was an avid sports fan, yet baseball was his passion. On behalf of our family, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Pazmino and staff from DaVita Mission Hills Dialysis. Visitation will be held Sunday May 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Central , 3839 Montana. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 9:45 am at Santo Nino De Atocha Catholic Church, 210 Clark Dr. Interment to follow at Ft. Bliss Cemetery at 11:00 am.
