Romeo Pucella

On Saturday, July 18, 2020 Romeo Pucella gently passed away at age 76 in the comfort and safety of his own home in El Paso, Texas. Romeo was born on December 30, 1943 in Oratino, Italy to parents Pasquale and Annina Pucella.

In 1953 he migrated with his family to Cleveland, Ohio where he would later serve the United States Army from 1965-1967 as a Communication Center Specialist in Ft. Bliss, Texas. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and earned the Marksman Badge. Romeo’s post military career was spent continuing to serve his country as a U.S. government civil servant main frame’s computer operator at the Air Defense Artillery Operations center until he retired from this role until 1999.

He married his beloved wife Evangelina in February 1971 and celebrated 47 years of marriage before she passed in 2018. Together they raised six children: Veronica, Romeo, Ana, Adrian, Lola, and Delia.

He is survived by his children, his brother and sister in law, Anastasio “Andy” and Mary Jane Pucella, along with his 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

His kindness and generosity impacted everyone who lived under his roof and will forever be remembered and acknowledged as someone who extended a foundation for others to have the ability to thrive.

He will be dearly missed.
