Rosa loved to dance, travel, shop, dine at her favorite restaurants (L&J’s), converse on the phone, and above everything spend time with family and friends. She was a proud graduate from Jefferson High School Class of 1972, and she enjoyed the company of her high school alumni graduates, especially at their monthly breakfast reunions. Rosa was a humble and generous person who offered comfort, love, and support to everyone who crossed her path.
Rosa had a strong faith in God that guided her throughout her life. She was loved dearly by her three daughters and her grandchildren. Her family finds comfort that she is now at peace in the loving presence of our Lord. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Rosa is preceded in death by her mother and father, Antonia Hernandez and Arturo Aguilar Sr.; sister, Patricia Aguilar, Alice Ballesteros and Arturo Aguilar. She is survived by her beloved children, Veronica Lucero (Steven Lucero), Betty Tellez-Hernandez (Fernando Hernandez) and Iris Tellez; her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Lucero, Ryan Lucero, Alyssa Castrejon, Celeste Hernandez and Liam Tapia; and brother Humberto Aguilar and sisters Sylvia Ponce and Irene Aguilar.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a vigil at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church, 4700 Delta Dr, El Paso, Texas 79905.
