Sabrina Grace Renteria was born on April 5th, 1996 in Bethesda, Maryland to Eileen Theresa Kite and Ricardo Prieto Renteria. She was the middle child of four, with her siblings Lauren, Martin, and Jacob. Sabrina moved around a lot during her childhood years because of her father’s military career, and ended up in Dallas, Texas for a long duration when she was 10 years old. As a young woman, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and listening to music – especially the alternative band A Day to Remember. Sabrina graduated from Edward S. Marcus High School in 2014, and shared an apartment with her mother, Eileen, for several years. Sabrina spent much of her twenties battling addiction as a result of her struggle with mental health. In 2022, she gave birth to her daughter, Serenity Jade Renteria. Shortly thereafter, Sabrina was incarcerated for a time, and was released in 2025.
She made a decision to change her life, and moved to El Paso, Texas to better herself for her daughter. While in El Paso, she found stability through the connections that she reestablished with her family. She worked very hard to become independent – working multiple jobs at a time and had plans to become an EMT through El Paso Community College. Once she graduated, Sabrina planned to move to South Carolina to be with Serenity, who is in the care of Cindy Kite, Sabrina’s aunt. She is preceded in death by her older sister, Lauren Elia Renteria, her mother, Eileen Theresa Renteria, her uncle Tom Kite, and her grandfather, Robert Stanley Kite. She is survived by her father, Ricardo Prieto Renteria, her older brother, Martin Robert Renteria, her younger brother, Jacob Wallace Renteria, her sister-in-law, Anabel Renteria, and her daughter, Serenity Jade Renteria.
A visitation for Sabrina will be held on Friday May 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East, 12400 Montana Ave., 79938. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery East.
