Steve Gomez, a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on the morning of January 20, 2026, at the age of 34. He was born on August 10, 1991, in El Paso, Texas, to Irma and Manuel Gomez, who loved him deeply and raised him with strong family values.
Steve was a proud graduate of Montwood High School and built a respected career as a foreman at the El Paso International Airport. He took pride in his work and was known by those around him as dependable, hardworking, and someone others could always count on.
Above all else, Steve loved his family. His greatest joy in life were his two sons, Orlando and Brayden who meant everything to him and were truly the center of his world. Steve cherished time spent with family, whether it was gathering together, cookouts, shooting, or laughing late into the night while playing video games with his brothers and cousins. Those moments of competition, joking, and connection brought him genuine happiness and created memories that will be forever treasured.
Steve is survived by his loving parents, Irma and Manuel Gomez; his sons, Orlando Gomez, Brayden Sanchez; the mother of his children and love of his life Estefanía Torres; and his brothers, Manuel Roman Gomez, John Mendez, Brandon Ryan Gomez, Javier Jose Gomez, along with many cousins, relatives, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Steve will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his dedication to his work, his warm heart, and the laughter he shared with those closest to him. His presence will be forever missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day—unseen, unheard, but always near.”
“His Love is like the wind, you can't see it, but you can feel it“
