Sun Cha Smith daughter of Sangbang Lee and Jeayeol Kim of South Korea, age 79 passed away on Monday February 14, 2022 in Tucson, Arizona after losing her nine year battle with COPD. Knowing she was in a fight that she could not win, she fought relentlessly, never losing her will to live life to the fullest. She was surrounded by family until the very end both in-person and video. A woman of many passions and talents, she will be remembered most as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend with the ability to grow lush vegetable gardens and a regular at the local casino where she loved to play games and socialize.
She was funny, curious, wise and a no-nonsense incredible woman. She is deeply loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew her and whose lives she touched.
Sun Cha is survived by her son Andrew Smith; her son Dennis Smith; her daughter-in-law Alison Smith; grandchildren Emily, Loren, Ian, Sebastian, Nicholas; great granddaughter Lainey.
Sun Cha was preceded in death by her husband Dana Smith
