Sylvia Padilla, 69, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on August 11, 2025. She was born on August 23, 1955, and spent her life in El Paso. For more than 40 years, she worked with dedication at the Fort Bliss Library.
She is survived by her mother, Leonor Soto, along with her aunts, cousins, nephews, and friends who will always treasure her memory.
A proud Dallas Cowboys fan and remembered as the “Queen of Bowie,” Sylvia will be forever cherished for her strength, warmth, and love for family.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a rosary, joinable though livestream, at 6:30 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will be Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama St, El Paso, Texas 79930 with a committal to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, 4848 Alps, El Paso, Tx 79904.
We will carry her in our hearts always.
