Tomas Anastacio Figueroa

April 8, 1934 -June 27, 2026

Tomas A. Figueroa, a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the age of 92. He is preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers and sister. At the age of 17, he enlisted from 1951-1954 and served during the Korean War, being promoted from private to Sergeant in six months. After his military service, he attended Texas Western University (now known as UTEP) majoring in electrical engineering. He then began a 40 year long career with the Water Utilities, retiring as an Engineer Inspector Tech III.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 Years, Matilde A. Figueroa and his only son Tommy "tatis" Figueroa. He will be greatly missed by his aunt, his cousin and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be held at 11:00 am with a funeral mass to follow at 11:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave. El Paso, Texas 79903. Interment will follow at Fort bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. El Paso, Texas 79906, with military honors.
