Born on January 23, 1943, to Candelaria Hernandez and William Robert Hill, Virginia grew up in El Paso and attended El Paso High School. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others, spending decades working in local hospitals and finding her true calling as a patient representative, where her natural empathy provided comfort to countless families.
Virginia often remarked that she had a good life, but a hard life. Despite life's difficulties, she became the resilient anchor who single-handedly guided her children through life's biggest transitions, raising them with a strict but deeply loving and caring hand. Her cooking was a source of warmth for her family, and her devotion to her grandchildren and great grandchildren was unmatched. Even in her final days, Virginia's sharp mind and fierce love never wavered, ensuring she never missed a single family birthday.
She is survived by her loving children, Virginia Gurrola, Alfred (Shirley) Aceituno and Debra (Steven) Patrick, as well as her sister, Rosa Perez. Her legacy of resilience lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Thaddeus, Michael, Allison, and Rachel, and great grandchildren Hailey and Isabella. Virginia is now reunited with her beloved daughter Teresa, her mother Canderlaria, and her brother William, who preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Wednesday August 12, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a vigil at 7:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave. El Paso, Texas 79903. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 9:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9025 Diana Dr, El Paso, Texas 79904 with her commital to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, 4848 Alps El Paso, Texas 79904.
