Wayne Salas, 54 was born in Raton, New Mexico, passed away on December 10, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. He is survived by his mother Maryann Salas, daughter Ryan Salas (Delaloye), sisters’ Teri, Michelle, friend Victor Salas, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Edward and sister Edie. The viewing will be held at Evergreen East Thursday 19th 5-9 p.m. with the rosary at 7 p.m.; followed by the Mass on Friday 20th at St. Thomas Aquinas at 10:30 a.m.
Wayne graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso, with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He worked at Tinker, AFB in Oklahoma City, OK, where he had many friends, including Doug Herrera and Ms. G, whom our family is so gracious to for providing us with comfort and helping us feel he was not alone. We are also grateful to Victor, his best friend, the closest person he had to a brother and whom he also cherished. Wayne said many times through-out his life that “Mom was my best friend” and “Ryan was my world,” which everyone felt and understood. He was a man who loved in his own way, but we knew his heart and felt loved; that is the love we will cherish and keep us going until we meet again. Forever in our heart, memories will never fade. All our love family and friends.
