William Glasgow Lucker Sr., Ph.D., was born on April 29, 1932 in Tientsin, China. He was the great-grandson of Joseph Magoffin and a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. On November 22, 2013, William (Bill) was born into his eternal life. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-six years Marie G. Lucker, and siblings Sister Josephine Lucker, MM, and Lt. Col. Harry A. Lucker; his five children Josie, Jeanmarie, William, Richard and Catherine and their spouses Mike, Ben, Carol, Raquel and Richard. Bill was affectionately known as "Fafa" by his nine grandchildren, Cassie, Sienna, Joseph, Alba, Jaxon, Mason, Harrison, William and Miriam. His brother Gerry Lucker preceded him in death. By the grace of God, Bill enjoyed a long life filled with many experiences. He served the U.S. Army in counter-intelligence in Panama where he met Marie from Ft. Worth, Texas. They married in 1957 and returned to El Paso where he served as a police officer and detective. Bill then undertook and completed a Ph. D. program in Psychology at Vanderbilt University. He became a tenured Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Texas at El Paso. After twenty years of dedicated service, Bill retired from FCI La Tuna where he was the Chief Psychologist. Most notably, he was Our Eternal Scholar and enjoyed learning for the sake of knowledge. May our family grow together with the love of God, honor and wisdom. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us. In lieu of flowers please donate to Maryknoll Sisters P. O. I recall that during my first years as a correctional officer, at FCI La Tuna Dr. Lucker and I exchanged pleasantries and in the process we both found out that my brother in-law Paul, was his intern way back in the 70's at FCI La Tuna. He always greeted me with kind words for me and my family and for my sister Esperanza and Paul. I am just finding out about his passing. His years of Public Service at FCI La Tuna are remarkable and many will miss him. I will pray for his eternal rest in the daily masses my wife and I attend. God bless the Lucker family with the graces they need to deal with this hardship. May the perpetual light of Christ shine upon him!

Mr. Lucker,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army-and then for the citizens of El Paso when you served with EPPD and then our Country again when you served in the FBP. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Mrs. Lucker, Josie, Jeannie, Billy, Cathy, and Richard...
We are so saddened to hear of Dr. Lucker's passing. We have fond childhood memories living across the street from you on Driver Circle. I bet your family was the first to have a computer! At such a young age, I remember all of you being so talented and smart. From ballet to judo, what wonderful parents you were blessed with. Our deepest condolences to all of you. You are in our prayers. We give thanks for knowing Dr. Lucker.

Bill was a few years ahead of me at St. Patrick's and to my surprise I ran into him when I too was assgined to US Army counter intelligence in Panama. He was most helpful in getting me, a newbie agent, organized in our very interesting and exciting work. A true friend over the years who will be missed.

Dearest Marie and Lucker children,

I am so very heartbroken to hear of Bill's passing. The 23 years living next door to Bill and your family was truly amazing. I remember how witty, funny, and charming Bill was. I treasure the conversations we had about family and career. He was the true essence of fatherhood. Bill's legacy as a father, a highly respected professional and scholar, and a man of profound faith is an inspiration to those who knew him. Vivianne and I are very blessed to have been touched by his wisdom and kindness. God bless and comfort all of you, and may our Lord Jesus forever keep Bill in His shelter and love. Rest in peace, Dr. Lucker!

I grew up next to the Luckers. They were like my second family throughout my childhood. I loved spending time with them. Mr. Lucker always had a warm laugh. We are so heartbroken to hear of his passing. Wishing Mrs. Lucker and the entire family peace and love through this difficult time.
