Betty Gail Jones died in Longmont, CO at the age of 94 years. Betty Gail Nelson was born in 1924 in Britton, South Dakota. Her parents were Elmer and Martha Dahlin Nelson. Betty attended college and received an Associates Degree and worked as a Teacher, Librarian, Church and School Administrative Assistant. While teaching, she met her future husband, Harold Jones, whom she married on June 15, 1947 on the family farm near Kidder, SD. She was always concerned about the welfare of others. She had a long time interest in The Arts-Pottery, Painting and Music. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and taught her children about Jesus. Betty was a snappy dresser with a sharp wit. She was creative in hospitality, food and entertaining and loved to rock babies. She is survived by her daughters Vicki Bien and Shelley Jones, son Randy Jones, grandchildren Kari, Tina, Kirk, and Elisa and great grandchildren Luke, Addy, Brendan, Cortland, Jayla and Maren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, brothers Markwood and Elwood Nelson, and granddaughter Stephanie.
