My wife Debi Dodge worked with David in his untiring efforts with the Estes Park Wool Market. The ever-popular Sheep to Shawl event was a huge success. David's support, guidance, and leadership was essential in making this happen. The event brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. It brought ancient arts and craft to young people, fascinating them without exception. These things don't happen on their own. They succeed with strong guidance and leadership. Thank you David for helping my wife have such a special experience with the market. You are already missed on so many levels. Lenny Frieling

To my dear Friend Dave,

I have no words to describe the pain I feel in losing you. You were the loyalist of friends, an ardent competitor, and loving human begin. You put yourself above others consistently. I am a better educator, friend, coach, father, and man for having known you. I know we will meet again. God rest your soul and I pray God be with all of your wonderful family.

See you on the other side,

Matt Hawkins

Coach Hocker,

I want to first and foremost thank you for everything you ever did for me as a coach and mentor. You taught me how to be a young responsible individual and honestly I did nothing less than want to be exactly like you when I was your athlete in high school. One of my best memories was attending your wedding and having fun meeting all your family! You and I had many discussions about God and I am positive you are there with God now. I apologize for not keeping in touch the way I was supposed to through the years as I have gone into my career but that was no excuse. I will miss you coach and the times we would go to In-N-Out after practice because you ran us to our full potential! Thank you for helping me become league champion and thank you for awarding me team MVP in 2005. As a teacher and coach, I think of you often out on the field and I promise to serve in your memory. This coming season is for you coach. Rest in Peace coach until we meet again!

- Adrian
