

Elmer “Sonny” Perschbacher, Jr. passed away at his home in Estes Park, CO on July 1, 2025, with his wife Linda by his side. Sonny was born June 12, 1938, in St. Louis, MO the 2nd of 3 children to Elmer Perschbacher and Lilliam (Russell). At the age of 8 he and the family moved to St Louis County and Sonny had many stories of playing in the woods and streams, picking wild fruit and engaging in the antics, games and getting into trouble with the neighbors.
Sonny graduated from Riverview Gardens High School in 1956 and enlisted in the Army in 1961. He attended Sterling College in Sterling KS, and graduated form Kansas State University in 1967 with a Master’s Degree in Architecture. He would use his skills in architecture in Dallas, TX, and in Littleton, CO where he moved to in 1972.
He met his wife Linda, through a friend and they were married in St. Croix, Virgin Islands February 20, 1982. Sonny and Linda had one son, Ryan T. Perschbacher, born May 12, 1983.
Sonny started his own architectural businesses, Perschbacher Architectural Interiors, Perschbacher Associates, Inc and Perschbacher Architects. After a successful career he finally retired in 2011. After retirement Sonny and Linda settled in Estes Park, CO, in 2014. Sonny engaged in the hobby of pen and ink drawings, receiving awards from Greely and Estes Park.
Sonny is preceded in death by father in 1990, Mother in 1976, sister Evelyn Cowgill, brother, Arthur and son Ryan. Survived by his wife, Linda and niece, Kim Phelps.
On July 8, 2025 a Visitation will take place at Allnutt Funeral Service in Estes Park 1302 Graves Ave at 10:00 am, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am at Estes Valley Memorial Gardens 1672 Fish Hatchery Rd and a reception with refreshments at Allnutt Estes Park at 12:00. Sonny was a great husband, father and friend he will missed and always loved.
