Judith Duran

Judith Duran of Stamford, Connecticut, and a longtime resident of Estes Park, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, at the age of 83 in Longmont, Colorado.

Judith was born on January 10, 1943, to her mother Kathleen (Keenan) Duran, who had moved from Dublin, Ireland, and her father, Andrew Duran. She was the youngest of three children and often spoke fondly of her brothers, Andrew and Michael. Growing up in Connecticut, Judith developed a love of baseball and reading in her childhood, which in turn led her to being an avid reader all through her life.

Judith moved to Massachusetts and was a Catholic nun and a dedicated teacher with the Sisters of Divine Providence. She had a deep love for children and found great joy in teaching mathematics, English, reading, and religion. Throughout her years as an educator, she touched the lives of countless students, sharing not only her knowledge but also her kindness, compassion, and faith.

After moving to Estes Park, Colorado, Judith continued her life of service. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Estes Park Hospital, where her caring nature, compassion, and dedication to helping others continued to shine.

Judith was a beautiful light in this world and had a true servant’s heart. She cared for others in a way that cannot be overstated, consistently putting the needs of others before her own. Her compassion, generosity, and selflessness were evident in all that she did.

Judith’s life was one of love, faith, service, and devotion to others. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness and caring that will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Judith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be forever cherished, and the many lives she touched will stand as a lasting testament to the beautiful person she was.
