Ronald Keith Dobbins

Ron Dobbins, of Estes Park, CO, died on September 17, 2018. Ronald Keith Dobbins was born on October 10th, 1932 in Topeka, KS. He graduated from Omaha Technical high school in 1950. On Aug. 10th, 1952, in Omaha, NE, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Jeyneise (Delehoy) Dobbins. Ron attended KU, participated in ROTC and was the top male advertising student the year he graduated. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism in 1954. On his way to Lackland AFB, TX to begin pilot training, he was in a severe car accident. Unable to fly, he became a Personnel and Information Services Officer. Ron spent from 1955 -57 over in Korea and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant. From 1958-62, he started his advertising career in Market Research at Potts –Woodbury Advertising Agency as an Account Executive. Ron continued with advertising for the DuPont Company in Wilmington, DE from 1962 – 72. He owned Wesrae Industries, Inc. in St. Louis, MO as a manufacturer’s representative from 1972 – 87. In 1987, Ron and Jeyneise moved to Estes Park, CO where he started a new career in real estate as a Century 21 broker. He received the Realtor of the Year Award in 1994. After successfully helping many others to find the home of their dreams, Ron retired in 1997. As a member of Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies he participated in many activities and was on the Columbarium Committee, being sure to place flags for veterans every Memorial and Veterans Day. While his grandkids were enrolled at the Estes Park schools, he enjoyed attending all of their performances and sporting events. Ron also had been an active member of Sunrise Rotary. Ron is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeyneise; sister Jeannine and John Stenzel from Red Feather Lakes, CO; son Mark and Gracia Dobbins from Deerfield Beach, FL; daughter Linda (Dobbins) Marshall from Estes Park, CO; daughter-in-law Misa Dobbins from Charlotte, NC; cousin Mike Dobbins from Austin, TX; sister-in-law Sharon Kirby and brother/sister-in-law Darwyn and Janet Delehoy from Omaha, NE. He was extremely proud of all his loving grandchildren; Ryan Dobbins, Jessica (Dobbins) Wonders, Taylor Marshall, Jenna Marshall, Stephanie Dobbins and Zoe Dobbins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Edith Dobbins; Uncle Blair and Aunt Doris Dobbins; son Larry Dobbins; and son-in-law Todd Marshall. Ron was kind and compassionate, with a quick wit and great sense of humor. He had a strong work ethic, sense of duty and integrity. He will be missed and lovingly remembered with joy and laughter. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday November 10th at 2 pm at Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) or Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies (PCCR Foundation) in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 1302 Graves Ave, Estes Park, CO, 80517.
