Ross was born in Neenah, Wisconsin and raised in Appleton, WI. After graduating high school in Appleton, he went on to achieve his Master’s Degree in teaching from Miami University in Oxford, OH. He was an art teacher in the Dayton, OH school system. Ross was in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He resided in Huber Heights, OH from 1960 – 1990 when he moved to Estes Park, Colorado; where he lived until his death.
Ross and his beautiful wife Rebecca were married in Dayton, OH in 1961. Together they had one daughter, Sherri.
Ross was enthusiastic about jazz music and the arts. He loved drawing and painting and was an accomplished artist. Ross loved his cats. He also enjoyed weight lifting.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents John C. Lang and Martha Ross. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Lang, his daughter Sherri K. Lang and her husband Jeffery Smith, his sister Wanda Young and her husband James Young.
