Carolyn Ann Kleiser, 68, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on January 8, 1958, in Eustis, Florida, Carolyn was cherished, hard-working, devoted, selfless, loyal, brave, and beloved by all who had the privilege to know her. After this introduction, “Carolyn” will be lovingly remembered as Carolyn.
Raised in Eustis as one of three children—and the only girl—Carolyn was a tomboy from the start, learning at a young age about dirt-bikes and embracing the outdoors with fearless energy. She attended school in Eustis and Mount Dora from elementary through high school, building the foundation of the determined and capable woman she would become. She later attended Seminole State College, earning her technical certificate in Water Testing for the city of Tavares.
Later in life, Carolyn chose a path of service through private home care, which led her to further her education and pursue her passion as a CNA. She dedicated the last 15 years of her life to this work, known as a hard-working and dedicated caregiver who consistently went above and beyond. Even as she reached retirement age, Carolyn continued working—steadfast in her commitment to others and proud of the care she provided.
Carolyn was married to Leon Huffman in 1978. Though they divorced when they were young, they found their way back to each other, rekindling the spark between them in 2016.
Carolyn’s interests reflected her spirited nature and deep sense of identity. She enjoyed hunting, riding in the woods, and spending meaningful time with her family. She also loved pow-wows, dreamcatchers, wolves, and other interests that honored her Native American heritage. A devoted football fan, she followed Florida State and the Miami Dolphins with enthusiasm.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her life partner, Leon Huffman; her father, George Junior Lambert (Mildred); her brother, George Edward Lambert (Cindy); and her cousins, Patty Bedgood and Rachel Jordan.
She is survived by her daughters, Millissia Wills (Richie) and Bonnie Szabo (Joe); her mother, Ann Lambert; her granddaughters, Lori, Heather, Tori, and Hannah; her great-grandson, Easton; her great-granddaughters, Bella, Madison, Mia, Bri-Bri, Presley, Peyton, and Paisleigh; and many extended relatives, loving friends, and coworkers.
Carolyn will be remembered for her devoted heart, her brave perseverance, and the loyal love she gave so freely. Her presence was a steady comfort, and her life leaves an enduring legacy of service, family, and strength.
