Carolyn Teresa McCarty

Carolyn Teresa McCarty, 59, passed away on October 17, 2026, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Born February 1, 1967, in Keyser, West Virginia, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Samuel Welton McCarty and the late Lorena Helen McCarty. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 20 years Frederick Davis, Sr; her sister, Debra Broadwater; and brother, David McCarty. A devoted homemaker, Carolyn made her home a place of steady care and daily devotion. Her greatest accomplishments was being a mother and a nanny. In 1987, she moved to Central Florida from Keyser, West Virginia, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and commitment. Carolyn is survived by her sons, Frederick Davis Jr of Grand Island, Florida, and Aaron McCarty of Umatilla, Florida; her daughters, Crystal Taylor of Elkins, West Virginia, and Debra Harbor of Grand Island, Florida; her son in laws, David J. Harbor and Luke Taylor; her brothers, Samuel McCarty of Temple Terrace, Florida and Daniel McCarty, Sr of Keyser, West Virginia; also her grandchildren, Rae'lyn Davis, Charlotte Davis, Liliahna Harbor, Lorena Harbor, Brantly Harbor, Amber McCarty, Ben Taylor, Alex Taylor, and multiple nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 1309 County Rd 452, Eustis, FL 32726 on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
