

Charles Patrick Aldrich, 87, of Eustis, Florida, passed away on August 20, 2026. Born July 3, 1939, in Hudson, Michigan, he was the son of the late Milford C. & Ruth B. Aldrich. In 1977, he moved to Central Florida from Hudson, Michigan, making his home and life in the community he came to cherish. Mr. Aldrich served in the US Air Force during Vietnam, a chapter of his life marked by duty and steadfast commitment. In his working years, he was also a truck driver, earning respect through honest labor and the quiet reliability of a man who understood the value of showing up and seeing things through. He is survived by his daughter, Ruth A. McCullars of Gainesville, FL; his brother, Louis J. Aldrich of Adrian, MI; his sister, Katherine Aldrich-Mims of Eustis, FL; his sister, Mary Lina Lundy of Oxford, FL; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Leichty and Alexandra Stirling; and three great-grandchildren, Jiraiya, Naomi, and Oliver. He was preceded in death by his brother, James T. Aldrich. A Military Graveside Service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513, US, on September 15, 2026, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice or to the Cat Protection Society.
