Doug will be truly missed. He was always helpful and caring.  Was a great neighbor.
I will miss him

I’m truly saddened to hear about Doug’s passing. He was not only a great boss, but a genuine friend who made a lasting impact on all of us. His loyalty, leadership, and the way he cared for people will never be forgotten.

In honor of his wishes, I will be making a donation to St. Jude. My prayers are with Brenda, Stephen, Jayden, and the entire Wilson family during this difficult time.

Doug will truly be missed, but his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched. Rest easy, Doug. 🙏

Douglas I hope the last few days you have been watching all the love people are sharing toward me. I have most of the list you left for me done. The nights are ok, but the sun rises I struggle.people say I am heartbroken, and I tell them no I am not cause you took my heart with you..I continue to say are nightly prayers cause that was the routine, and your cup and mints are still at the table(which you know makes me crazy)I love you always always

I’ve really enjoyed knowing you and am blessed to have worked with you for nine years. You’re one of the best supervisors I ever had. Thank you for all of the laughs, for all of the times you chose patience when I really checked your nerves and for all of the things you’ve taught me that I still use today when making decisions at work. You’re always going to be in my heart. I miss you so much. I have lots of little moments of the funny things you’d say and do and they keep me giggling through the tears 🥹

I imagine you walking through the gates up there and tugging on that beard when you’re deep in thought while inspecting the place to decide how you want everything arranged and then handing out the paperwork saying “Everyone needs to read and sign these”

I’m gonna miss you making fun of my socks and Crocs when I would be leaving work in the mornings

I wish you would have let Kristi and I decorate your beard for the holidays with little pieces of tinsel and those small ornaments and mini-candy canes.. We still think that was a spectacular  idea…..but you didn’t 😂

When you would fuss at me for leaving F1 to go socialize with Judy on F3 and you’d say “Girl get back on your ‘porch’ before I fire you!!” but you winked and you never did fire me. 😂 

I appreciate that Jason gave me a chance and you, Susan and David showed a lot of patience and grace because I was a bit rickety at running a machine and anything wild, crazy or impossible always seemed to go down when I was working. You taught me so much and I’m forever grateful.

That night when I managed to break both F2 and F3 at the same time and you walked in to find me crying and the room full of smoke. That was a rough night.

The fact that you continued to work, email, advise and supervise from your hospital bed was the most “Doug Thing” ever. If that’s not some loyalty and dedication then I don’t know what is.

Thank you for everything. Rest easy now.

Though I didn’t know Doug personally, I do know his wife my Brenda bean. Through her and the few times I met him, I knew how loving and funny he was. How much he adored his wife and his son and grandson. That was his world. A few weeks ago I went to visit and let me tell you even though his situation he had one hell of a sense of humor. We couldn’t stop laughing and tho he couldn’t say much a lot was said.
I still have that note which will remain a secret. He will be missed but never forgotten. He lives through every passing person he met, every conversation he had, every word he wrote and his people who made his world go round.

I enjoyed the 8 years that I was privileged to work with another Jersey boy at Florida’s Natural.  I counted it a great honor that we could support each other when times were tough.  You will be missed.

Doug was a gift because he was always there to help. He liked to joke around with us, even though people took him far to seriously.  I'm sorry for your lose but I'm happy because I actually got to work with him and he became a friend. He was a good man. Florida natural employee.

Doug, you will truly be missed. I’m so grateful for all the coaching and advice you shared with me since I joined Florida’s Natural—it meant more than I ever got the chance to say. 

One of our last conversations is something I’ll always carry with me, especially hearing how proud you were of the work we did around the plant. Thank you for everything, Doug.

It has been only 48 hrs and feels like a life time. I know you are watching over us, but I miss you terribly. Steph and I took care of everything and Gina got the tech stuff done. Everyone has been so sweet to me, all the FNG family.Pigcat helps but not the same. I love you always always.
