Guy Gayle White

Guy Gayle White, age 90, passed away on October 17, 2026, in Tavares, Florida. Born March 9, 1936, in Moultrie, Georgia, Guy was the son of Herbert G White and Iris E White. He lived a life marked by steadfast service, civic dedication, and deep commitment to those he loved. After serving his country with distinction as a Sergeant Major in the United States Marine Corp., Guy later made Mount Dora, Florida his home. In 1980, he moved to Mount Dora from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and became a familiar and respected presence in the community he came to cherish. During the 1980’s, he served as a City Councilman for the City of Mount Dora, offering his time and leadership in the spirit of public service and responsibility. Guy is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy White of Mount Dora, Florida; his brothers, Gerald and Larry; his sisters, Betty Jo and Joyce; his nephew Jon (Pamm) Molnar; and several other nieces and nephews. There will be a Graveside Service at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
