

Harold served in the United States Air Force and later built a career as a real estate agent, bringing steady dedication and a principled work ethic to the people he served. In 1958, he moved to Florida from Dalhart, Texas. He was a vice-mayor of Homestead, FL where he made his home and became part of the community he valued.
A man of faith and commitment, Harold was a Methodist and attended New Covenant United Methodist Church in Lady Lake, Florida. He also gave his time and fellowship through Rotary International and held the distinction of being a 32nd Degree Mason—memberships that reflected a life shaped by service, responsibility, and respect for others.
Harold is survived by his wife, Maureen Anne Hanson of Altoona, Florida; his stepson, James Hanson (Nancy) of DeBary, Florida; his stepdaughters, Karen Hanson of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, and June Rowley-Tuman (Ken) of Winnetka, Illinois; his sister, Geraldine Berryhill of Dalhart, Texas; six step-grandchildren; and twelve step-great grandchildren.
